We had an incredible time at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They even upgraded our room for free. The location was perfect - near a beautiful art museum and off the beaten track. The hotel facilities were great, with heated floors and a comfortable bathtub. The breakfast was yummy, with many local dishes to choose from.
Not one thing.

The hotel we stayed at during our city trip was an amazing experience. The building's traditional architecture mixed with modern amenities, like heated floors, really made us feel immersed in Japanese culture. The staff was also super welcoming, offering us an upgrade upon arrival and driving us to local attractions. One thing we really enjoyed was the plate of local specialties they offered every guest. Plus, the hotel was conveniently located near a beautiful local art museum and just a short drive from popular tourist spots.
Honestly, there wasn't much we didn't like about this hotel. The only minor downside was that there weren't many dining options nearby.

The hotel is located in a charming and authentic town, perfect for those who want to explore the more genuine side of Japan, away from the usual touristic spots. Guests can enjoy the convenience of being close to local attractions, such as an art museum designed by Kengo Kuma. the rooms are luxurious and beautifully restored to reflect traditional Japanese architecture, with modern amenities like heated floors and comfortable beds. the staff is incredibly welcoming, offering local specialties upon arrival and going the extra mile to ensure guests' comfort, including arranging in-room dinners and even firefly hunts.
Some guests may find that the hotel's location in a small town limits access to certain amenities and services that are more easily available in larger cities.

The rural location of the hotel was appealing, offering a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were pleasantly surprised by the traditional architecture of the hotel which was well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful and greeted us with local specialties.
Despite the rural location, the hotel was quite lacking in amenities and there was very little to do around the hotel. The breakfast was not to our liking and there were not many options available. The hotel was quite expensive for what it offered, and we felt that it did not justify the high price.

The luxurious amenities in this hotel exceeded my expectations. From the stylish and comfortable room to the beautiful garden area, this place is an oasis of tranquility. the in-room breakfast was delicious and the private facilities were superb. the staff's level of service was exceptional and their attention to detail was impressive. the location was perfect for exploring the local area and finding hidden gems.
The only minor issue was the limited menu offered for dinner which lacked variety. the staff was helpful in recommending local restaurants nearby.
